Michael Federico is an award-winning playwright, screenwriter, and recipient of the National Endowment of the Arts New Works Grant and the Dramatist Guild of America’s New Works Grant. His plays have been seen in New York, Chicago, Dallas, Austin, and San Diego. He also wrote the theater camp slasher-comedy movie, The Finale (High Octane Media), which was directed by KDT Company Member Christie Vela and Produced by Pompeii!! co-writer Max Hartman. It’s streaming everywhere, and you should totally watch it. Recently, Michael served as the Head of Writing for Ballen Studios, where he wrote multiple podcasts, including MrBallen: Strange, Dark, and Mysterious, which was consistently the #1 Podcast on Amazon Music. He currently has a 10-episode television development deal with Wonder for a series he created with Cameron Cobb and fellow SMU grad Amy Acker.
