THE GROWN-UPS Outdoor Performance FAQ

Q: What time am I allowed to enter the park?

A: Box Office Opens at 7:15PM, 8:00PM curtain

Q: Is there parking available?

A: We offer free parking in our gated, monitored parking lot.

Q: What if it rains?

While it is usually sunny and breezy at the park, weather conditions in North Texas can change rapidly. No performance will be canceled due to weather prior to show time. The decision to delay or cancel a performance will be made no later than 30 minutes after curtain/start time nightly (approx. 9:00pm for summer performances or 8:30pm for fall performances). Our social media pages (@kitchendogtheater) will be updated with the most recent information available on cancellations.

Q: You have never performed outside. What should I bring?

A: Since it is spring, we encourage guests to bring bug spray and to wear closed-toed shoes for walking on grass.

Q: What type of seating is available, and do we need to bring chairs?

A: KDT will provide hard plastic lawn chairs and/or low back sand chairs for seating. Guests can bring their own camping chairs or may choose to sit on the lawn and may bring their own low-back sand chairs and picnic blankets, so long as they fit in with the number of seats in their reserved party. (ie.  2 tickets = 2 chairs)

Q: Can we bring food and beverages to the park?

A: Yes, food and beverages are allowed in the park however hard liquor is not permitted. Beer and wine are allowed. No concessions will be available at the park. We encourage patrons to bring their own water bottles, as there are no working water fountains at the park currently.

Q: Can I bring/use candles?

A: No. No open flames are permitted in the park.

Q: Is ice available at the park?

A: Unfortunately, ice is not available for purchase in the park. However, there are multiple gas stations just outside the park where we recommend purchasing ice on your way in.

Q: Where is smoking/vaping permitted?

A: Smoking/Vaping is not permitted within the pavilion or on the lawn. You may smoke/vape 100 ft away from the main seating area in the grass towards the gated entrance near the red buckets. Open flames are strictly prohibited within the park.

Q: What should I wear to the park?

A: We suggest bringing a layer! Though the show begins in the evening as the sun is going down, do expect it to be warmer at the top of the show and possibly cooler toward the end so dress accordingly. We recommend comfortable, cool clothing, and flat, closed-toed shoes as you will be walking on the grass.

Q: Are pets allowed at the park?

A: No pets are permitted but service animals are allowed. Please let us know if you are bringing a service animal.
